Aficionado

Reading is not a hobby, or part time agenda for me. Reading is a must, a job I should fulfill in order to reach my goal.

Years ago, I think it is impossible to read an English book. Besides of other Malay books line up queuing, I met Timesquare Border's sale at the end of that year. There, I met with Alchemist, Paulo Coelho's Saga.

Alchemist has changed the climate, my ambiance of reading. Start with Paulo Coelho, I moved towards Khaled Hosseini. Again, I become addicted with The Kite Runner and his Thousand Splendid Sun.

My next hunt begin with The Witch of Portobello, where I become fanatics towards Coelho's work.

Right now, in the middle of reading Steven Galloway The Cellist of Sarajevo and Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes, I come across with Orhan Pamuk Nobel Prize winner, My Name is Red at Alamanda's MPH.

On 2008 only, i've spent more than RM 800 for buying the books and I have no regret about filling up the learning process (instead of RM1200 honorarium thingy)

The most attractive, motivating and appealing things about reading those novels is the additional culture being fragmented and slip beautiful inside the story.

I really learned about Taliban and Afghan things inside Khaled Hosseini's works. And now I hope I could learn something from the one and only Turkey Nobel Prize winner.

The best part of literature is, when you giving up the whole night spending time evolving with the character of that story, that enthusiast will lead you into the imagination. That imagination will spark the pseudo-mind of yours and keep you uncaptive.

The art of reading, is an aficionado.
